Yeah, I've been doing that for years. Not just with the new '11, but with the three previous ones too. After I got a ticket when I was driving my BIL's new (then) '95 F250 by sound and feel instead of watching the speedometer. It was a lot quieter and smoother at 85 than my '89 F350 was at 55.

I tried to explain that to the cop, but he wasn't buying.

Many of the newer Ford must have this problem. Just last Sunday, June 26th, I was southbound on I-75 in OH, cruise set at about 70 mph. In the mirror I saw this Late F350 CC DRW coming up on me fast. The gal driving had the windows down and her long blond hair blowing all over. Behind the truck was a big old horse trailer with at least several horses therein. I would guess when she passed me she must have been running 85-90 mph. So these new Fords must have a runaway problem.

Same thing happened to me on a high speed parts run from the muddy field to John Deere. I looked down and saw that I was doing 90 AND in four wheel drive! Still- smooth as butter. (And my transfer case didn't blow up

LOL! I have to use the cruise control and a radar detector to keep from collecting green stamps from the 'smokeys'!
