SO, my truck decided to start slowly killing itself about a day ago.
I got the error code P0404. I've now got excessive amounts of white smoke if I touch the gas pedal. If I try to give it a lot of gas while its sitting there, then it will cutout some and blow even more ridiculous amounts of white smoke. I also couldn't hear the turbo even begin to spool up. I just tried disconnecting the EGR valve to see if it would do anything, and I still had all of the same things happening.
Anyone have any ideas?
Problem solved, I took out the EGR valve, and it was basically a block of carbon, so I cleaned it out and the truck immediately ran better! Thank goodness that did it
