5.0 Head gaskets

I would like to know if on small block if head gasket put in backwards can you still see the flow in the radiator?

Yes, you will probably see flow in the radiator; the bulk of the coolant will still flow through. The correct orientation of the gaskets will place their steam transfer hole over the correct spot on the block. If you blocked those holes, you can cause overheating problems.
