Bad head gasket?
Help!!! I have a '89 F-150 w. 5.0L engine. When engine is cold, no problem, however, when engine warms up there is coolant getting into the exhaust(steam visible from tail-pipe and loss of power). There is no coolant in the oil, no oil in the coolant, and engine doesn't "miss" when idling. No visible leaks, etc. Compression is in range for an engine w. 120k miles. Plugs don't seem to be fouled/wet. I think head gasket, but mechanic doubts since compression is acceptable. Any ideas on what it could be? Intake manifold gasket? I'd like to have a better idea before I tear it apart!
