Your starter life goes way up compared to chasis exit. hardly have any problems with starter anymore. headers cook in the mud and thats just not a good thing.
Well the mud isnt a problem being my truck is 2wd, i live in az, and its only used to go get car parts and take the car to the race track
460 is a different header. Ran the supercomps in a 2wd once 472" and it was a pain in the A!!. They are a bigger tube set up but had to grind/cut the engine stand to clear. ran good but it was a pain!!!! 89360 351m400 part# call headman for their selection of headers. In 460 world LnL are top of the line for headers. good luck. LnL I am running for atleast 18+ yrs had to get coated once jet hot. if for towing keep tube diameter around 1 5/8" or close to this. racing bigger tube 400hrspwr or more.
What you say, no muffler well I'll be....sorry I have no advice on a 460/2wd header set up or possible issues with the swap. But I am sure someone will have the answers.
I seem to be having an issue.... They do not offer a set of headers for the 2wd F250 with a 460. this is very aggravating... Can some one please prove me wrong. I really had my hopes up on running thoes headers on my 2wd. Does any one know the reason that they arent made for the 2wd???????
Supercomp headers are hookers if I remember correctly. Was a pain in the azz to fit up in my 1978 2wd truck. Had to pull motor stands to cut and grind on driver side to work. Not easy install!!!!!!!!!
No 2wd fender well exits are probably due to steering box location or tire clearance issues I would guess. I got my L&Ls through Jeff's Bronco Graveyard I think. It's been 7 years since I bought them. I'll go ahead and post some recent pics anyway.
i have hedmann's on my 77. i love them. easy exhaust routing, able to pop my exhaust off to run open headers when i pull in the matter of maybe 5 minutes. and yes, pulls heat away and saves starters. and i will be one to admit that i dont want to go back to chassis headers...
