Every time I get on here, there is a new thread about DP Tuners. I don't think I have read a single one that had anything bad to say about it. I bought my truck, and it came with a stock TS 6 position chip. I was thinking about spending the $150 and having it re-burned. Should I just man up and drop a couple hundred more and get the DP?
I don't have a problem spending the money, and if some one wanted my old TS I would be more then happy to give it em for a couple of bucks.
BTW its an 01 F350 Crew Cab, flat bed, 6 speed, with a 6637 and 4 inch mbrp.
Thanks Izzy I really do value your opinion. I have never driven or been in any other 7.3 So all I know is what I have, and what everyone else says is so good. I am sure I will be happy with anything other then what I have right now.
Tony will fill your 6-pos chip for $150, and give you free reburns if you want/need them later. That already paid off for me when I put in my injectors. I can't answer for any other vendor, but I do know Jody charges for reburns.
Tonyy, matt, swamps, beans, PHP, DP, bts there all close it just depends on who you like.
Not really. Break down the prices and post them up. That TS chip the OP has is WORTHLESS if he wants DP tunes. And, another one in your list won't fill the TS chip with anything less than 6 burns while another on your list will give you one and fill the others with stock tunes at no charge for the stock tunes filling the unused positions. Another one on your list told me (on the the phone) they haven't worked on stock spit-shot tunes in YEARS....OP, research is your friend.
Cale at tyrant will reborn for $75. I like his tunes and my tranny doesn't shift hard and require extra tranny parts like other companies. Customer service is sometimes a little lacking
I've never ridden in a truck with Tony Wildman tunes, but I've never heard anything bad about them. I'd like to though, along with some of the others mentioned.
