I am subscribing to this one FMI. As an unregistered farm truck it seems to me that you pull the airbag stuff out of the way and drive the truck. Some laws may mandate that the bag be fixed before the vehicle is driveable on a public highway. Hope someone who knows will site the rulings. My guess is that a mod will move this.
I would imaging replace the bag, sensor, module, and spring an your good to go. If your planning on using this truck to pull stumps and the like, you'll just set it off again.

No stumps or hard pulling; just a small trailer; grass trimmer, chainsaw, the usual items for repair; boards, etc.
This truck only has 112K on it; is an 8 of a 10; EC; there are NO obvious dings or dents on the front bumper to indicate a wreck. I bought this from a county auction over the internet. It was a maintenance truck & has been sitting for 2 years.
Will proceed & let you know the results.
Thanks
PS Sensors: must be some sensors located in the bumper section to set off the deployment of the bag?? Any help here?
I'm not sure where the sensors are. My neighbor was pulling stumps last fall when he set his airbags off. He had to replace both his bags and sensors. I believe they are in the engine compartment somewhere.
According to the county school dept. where I purchased (auction on internet) this truck; it had been sitting for 2 years; air bag deployed, & would not start. Well; I had a wrecker service deliver the truck; county did not send the keys; got the keys today; put a battery in; cleaned the terminals; after 3 turnovers, started up & ran beautifully.
Put my cheap scanner on it, but picked up no info; will get our shop expensive scanner & see what codes come up. Got to have some kind of code since the AB is deployed.
