4.9 Air Bag Deployed

Bought a 96; steering wheel has a deployed air bag; seller claims it cannot be repaired.

Anyone know how I should proceed with this? Did a search could not find anything.

Sounds easy

Thanks: figured it would involve reprogramming computer & etc; but that sounds fairly simple.

I don't really know much about these things but what caused the deployment? Is the damage extensive? I would assume you're planning on replacing the bumper/sensors in the vehicle also.

What year truck did Ford start using air bags in the 4.9 F150???
Just drivers side?
This is really the only thing I wished my truck had, compared to the newer trucks.
