I'm stuck at the gas station truck won't start. Everything turns on but don't even getba click out of the starter . It does nothing when I turn the key over. Ford recently replaced my cps could that be it. Much needed help guys any ideas what I can do. 02 f250

 

Will crank with a bad cps... Starter relay perhaps? Got a DVM handy?

 

The truck would still crank over if the cps was bad, it would just not fire. Did u check the connection going to the starter?

 

Did it quit and you rolled in there or just wont restart after fuel up?

I can't imagine your cps change could have anything to do with it unless they unhooked your batteries when they did it and didn't reconnect properly.

got it Running! Something made me think the shifter wasnt fully in park so tapped it up. and then she turned over. it must have not been sitting in park good enough i guess. thanks for the responses guys.

Glad u got it going. Its the simple things that always cause headachs and we tend to over look.

 

if it was something else at least it only would have been a 10 min walk home. But your right the simplest things always get ya going.
