Transmission Problems
I have a 2001 F350 with a 4R100 transmisson It will not shift gears underaload like going up hill but will shift going down hill. The oil doesnt smell burnt and the Diesel site fitler I cut apart is clean. Is there anything out there inwhich I can read codes on the transmission with. I have Autoenginuity but it will not comunicate with the transmission. Anybody have any suggestions. It happened all at once

how many miles? Mine went out at around 160k.I forget what the cut off date is when Ford stopped using the dreaded mechanical diode, i had one. You are better off posting in this section (which is farther down page)
