Ok I need some advice

I currently have a 5.5 lift block in rear and a level kit and longer shackles in the front

It rides horrible I even replaced shocks

My leaf springs in the front are almost upside down so I think that is my issue

I would like to take all of that out and replace with 6 inch leaf springs in the front will that give me a better ride?

I like the rake that my truck has now with the 5.5 lift blocks in rear

What should I replace with?

 

What do you mean your front springs are almost upside down? They aren't supposed to be arched like the rears, they should sit pretty flat. You'll need a whole lift kit, not just springs. I would recommend an Icon kit for the best ride, I have their 4" front spring kit and it rides great, the 6" kit will ride a little stiffer.

 

OK I put the longer shackles in the front causing the front springs to turn the other way almost snapping. Before I just had the level kit and it rode fine. The issue I think was the shackles are longer causing the leaf springs to fully extend.

I want to take it all out and replace with new lift springs

 

Changing shackles shouldn't have any influence on how much the spring arches. Maybe your springs have just fatigued/failed. How large of tires are you wanting to run? 4" with 35s is what I have in my sig pic, any larger and you lose a lot of functionality. IMO, 6" is too tall for a daily driver, towing, etc.

 

Donahoe Racing will give the best ride. I believe they use Deaver Springs but thats why they are twice as much as others

 

Donahoe used to use deaver springs, then they went to their own springs, which are a similar 11-12 leaf pack and ride great. Donahoe is now Icon Vehicle Dynamics after the owner went to prison and the company was sold. My 4" springs were bought during the transition as leftover Donahoe springs, but they are the same as the Icon 4" springs.

 

whoa didnt hear that. Is Icon as pricey?

 

Yeah, same pricing. It happened about 3-4 years ago. Donahoe Racing hasn't existed for a while now.

 

And I got the very last 7" DR had in their shop. I didn't care what the price was as going cheap in this area wasn't even a consideration....there is too much riding on the lift. ICON stuff is seriously beefy and worth every dime.
