I had this problem at my shop, check the wiring to the pcm passenger side of engine bay down behind battery mice or ground squrriels chewed wires into for 2 cylinders causing misfire.happy hunting, take battery out makes repairing wires easier....
i have 2003 ford f-150.. washed it the other day and decided to wash the motor.. now i have engine light on and it is misfiring.. its been 2 days since the wash.. thought maybe i got it wet but it should be dried out by now.. can i disconnect positive cable on battery to clear the issue?
Take all the coils out and blow dry all the plug wells.
You got as lot of water in.
Since there is sort of a seal around the coil boots to the head it won't dry to fast.
Goes in cold liquid and turns to steam when the motor runs and hangs around a long time because there is no circulation to any degree.
Watch for possible coil/ boot failure in the future if the seals on any coils have openerd up..
Good luck.
