4.6l V8. I recently changed the fuel pump, about a month ago. About a week later the check engine light came on, took it to Auto zone, had code Po442 emission control evap [small leak]. I checked the vent hose on the fuel pump and it was split, I replaced the hose and the reset the computer everything was fine for a few days. The last time I drove it I put some gas in the van and parked it. Started it up the next day and it was running rough, while driving it the check engine light came back on and was blinking. I took it back to Auto Zone and pulled the codes, it is now showing Po442, Po172, Po174, Po175, Po305, Po308. 172,174,175 point to oxygen sensors and 305 and 308 show misfires in the 5th and 8th cylinders. The van idles rough and is gets even rougher under acceleration, Thought maybe it was bad gas, so I put some sea foam fuel additive in and it seemed to run a little better, however the more I drive it, the more it starts to feel the same way as when the original fuel pump went bad. Could the fuel pump vent tube caused something else to go bad? What is the next step? I feel like the new fuel pump is on it's way out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike
I put the sea foam additive in yesterday, the rough running issue started a few days ago, I did change the fuel filter when I put the new fuel pump in. Any other ideas?
