less than a year after getting my cruise-o-matic rebuilt, its giving me trouble again- shuddering in reverse.
i picked up a C6 with the FE pattern off Craigslist for $100. the guy didn't know much about it, as he had never used it. it has a small-looking torque converter on it (much smaller than my C-O-M converter).
i'm looking for advice on what to check before bolting this in...i know nothing about transmissions, but its very hard to find FE parts around here, so i couldn't pass on the $100 deal.
For all the more a rebuild kit cost I would just go through it now. I won't reuse a TC unless I'm sure the trans it came from was not blown or worn out. Eithere way make sure to flush your lines and cooler out before running it.
