Need help with shaker hood setup
Thanks, Daryl! I sent you a really long e-mail, hope you can help me find those parts in Australia! It looks like the shaker parts are 5" tall, so I need 5" in spacers. I can get a 2" phenolic spacer to go between the carb and intake, or a velocity stack to go between the carb and air filter base, from SummitRacing.com or Jeg's. My question is how far up I can go on the carb before I have to go forward to clear the cowl and the rear edge of the hood. With my stock 17-1/4" diameter air filter base, I can't even go up 1/2" without hitting the firewall. So, I need to go forward 4-5" and up a total of 10"and a bit to the driver's side(2") all at the same time. I look forward to getting those measurements from you and the prices on those parts. Dazza, thanks for those measurements and links to parts!!! I'm going to order that assembly you said was used on the Falcon XY GT, it does look like what I need!!!
