So i was swapping the lift form a friends truck to mine, after 8 hrs i have 3/4 of the work done. The pitman arm is stuck on my truck and no amount of force is taking it off. i soaked it over night with some liquid wrench and have a puller on it to apply pressure. hopefully i can get inthere today to get it off. other than that all that is left is the pitman arm, track rod bracket, put the front wheels back on set it down and tighten all bolts and i am done. Found the specs on the kit. it is a Rough Country 6 inch lift kit with toyo open country 38*14.5*16 tires. Looks NICE. if any0one has any advice as to how to remove the stuck pitman arms please let me know.
If you have the pitman arm puller on 90 degrees to the arm, hit the end of the pitman arm with a BFH( big f***ing hammer) this has worked for me in the past. After a few hits, tighten the puller more with an impact wrench.
Ok so after fighting the pitman arm for 3 more hours today.. i took a cutoff wheel cut both sides hit it with the BFH (i love that acronym) and off she came. bought another pitman arm for my friends truck ($47) and finished the swap. I LOVE how it looks and drives. I am getting it aligned tomorrow. That you everyone for the help and im working on getting pics. it was dark when i finished. so hope fully tomorrow.
