Hey you can't hardly hurt the gaskets they are hard plastic with rubber O ring made into it. mine just lifted right off . Look at shaneBs photo album and the pic of the valley and oil galley has cooler out .

Im gonna try to put off an "engagement"
today to work on the truck...
I still havent pulled the manifold.
Its definitely more work to get at the oil cooler...

so im wondering if i need new gaskets for all
the fuel stuff i have to disconnect or
oil filter housing etc...
sure makes me want to just wait and do any other
small little upgrades also, now that im in this
deep. been fairly smooth tho so far! kinda cool?

also, do i need to pull injector wires?? or ficm?
Is there a good pic or description for all the acronyms??
thaaaaaaanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I removed my ficm because I repaced my standpipes. I dont think you will have to remove it. If you do be sure to plug the connectors in all the way when you are done... Dont ask!!

The only injector wire the must be removed is the passenger front.

When i did mine i pulled all injector plugs and ficm was taken off , that harness can then be zip tied up to the cowl. It just seemed easer to get it out of the way, Oh buy the way do you have the round egr cooler or the square one. And is your manifold the horseshoe shaped one or is it connected at the back.

that different in the instruction pics.
my engine build is february btw...
looks like square cooler.
the manifold wraps in the front, not back.

ok, couple quick Qs
the compressor side of the turbo has oil in the inlet
and the exit side. if i start taking compressor side apart
to clean it, will i need that gasket? is oil normal?

also, took apart the turbine side for cleaning.
it looks like little spade fin things have been sticking.
theres actually a pitted outlining groove, and all of
them seem to have stuck in a that position.
its not to bad, and they still move, but something goin on...
im gonna clean it and anti-seize it like in the rebuild by benchwrench.
I was just thinking maybe its the round collar piece
not moving?

The oil you see is normal comes from CCV hose ,so oil gets sucked though turbo. For the cleaning follow the cleaning by benchwench, Also look in my albums in my gallery and i have pics of my turbo cleaning before and after.

one question, but first
phewwwww....
Its finally alive!!!!!
runs......the same, which is good.
it would not fire up and almost went dead.
i opened up the fuel filter cap to see if it was
getting fuel and it hissed air and little diesel.
housing had fuel in it, put it back together
and wammo, fired right up!

so im flushing it with vc-9 and the dam heater still
wont blow heat????
btw, i have the therm pulled, and drove it aggressive for
30 mins. my dash temp didnt even make it half way
to HOT. Im gonna put in a new therm when done but,
Is the water flowing thru the heater core??

i have a single cab 6 spd btw, thanks for all the help fellas!

I am wandering if you may blend door or actuator issue. Pretty common on some vehilce, but not sure about the f250....

Can you hear the blend door open and close when turning the **** from hot to cold?

ac is stuck on.
also the air blowing is consistently cool, no matter the truck temp.
any help please!!!
im gonna be really bummed if the heater core is not circulating
and dirtys up my clean flush job!
thanks.

That sounds like a blend door to me. Either the door is broke, or your actuator controling the door is toast. I have not been under the dash of my truck, but you may be able to remove your glove box to troubleshoot.
