Damn, what a mess.

Anyway quick question, I swabbed all the junk out, should I spray some brake clean in there to clean it out real good then repack it with grease or not, I'm guessing not but there is a spring where I believe the grease gun would repack at and it's encrusted with goodies lol. Just wondering.
Pull the gear out, the clean all the remnants of the torque pins out. Brake clean wont hurt you either. The pins are only $4 or 5 at Autozone, Oreillys, etc. Put them back in and then repack it with grease, a light bearing grease or white lithium will work. Also while it is all apart, clean and put a coating of grease on the regulator where it runs thru the gear assembly and also the roller end where it runs in the channel on the bottom of the window and clean/grease that channel also. Personally, I recommend using the torque pins and not stacking nuts etc to replace them. The pins are basically little cushions to protect the gears when the window reaches top or bottom.

Went to the only auto shop we have in this small town I live in and they were $10 for what looked like little cut glue sticks rounds, so I just asked for the bolt nuts, which were 39 cents each.

Cleaned it out pretty good put some WLG in and around everything that moves and put the gear back. It works, but it makes a loud snap sound when you reach the top and bottom. :/ but it works for now, I'll grab some real pins when I'm near the Oreillys in the town over next time I get a chance and replace the nuts with that since this was a pretty easy fix.

You may want to make sure mesh is not too tight when reinstalled. Shouldn't pop.

I know this thread is old. But in case anyone is wondering, stacking the nuts is a BAD idea. Eventually it will break the GEAR and that is around 13$ to replace. Just do it right and get the gear plugs (dorman 74410) that are made to do the job. Amazon has the plugs for about 7.50 right now. (disclaimer, I'm not paid by dorman or amazon)

I know this because I just pulled both my window motors off and the gears were broken and I found the nuts stacked on each other exactly as described in this thread. The motors still work after removing the nuts, but I now have to replace the gears and the plugs. Later.
