White Faced Gauge Cluster - Anybody seen these before?

My 1990 F150 has a white faced gauge cluster that i really like the looks of. I'm planning to swap in a tach cluster and would love to find a source for this. All I've found googling around are kits to change just the gauge sweep area to white, not the whole cluster. Anybody seen something like this before or know a likely source?

Well I just checked all the places that I know used to have them and now all they have are the ones that only cover the sweep area...

So it appears that gauge clusters are subject to the whims of fashion as well. Pity that.

That cluster is pretty cool looking minus the lack of tachometer. If I were you, I'd just buy a white face tach, from Autometer or whatever brand you like, and mount that somewhere. I doubt you'll find another completely white face one with a tach on it.

I'd pay some darn good money for one of those clusters with a tach, they just looked so cool to me. Shame they just kinda fall off the face of the earth after the trucks hit a certain age.

Agreed. Aftermarket white faced tach to match

Normally I would agree, but not obvious in the photo is that the white vinyl overlay is peeling up on the bottom left corner. It maybe they used cheap vinyl (calendared vs cast) or the person that put it on didn't prep the surface correctly. I know it's something that will bug me everytime I drive it.

So what I'm thinking of doing, in the absence of a full overlay, is that I'll design and cut (I do vinyl graphics work as a side line) a field overlay for the whole cluster and leave a narrow reveal around each of the gauges. Done right, which will probably take a few tries, it should come out looking pretty nice.

In the mean time, if anybody does come across an all white overlay, please let me know.

Most overlays are NOT vinyl. But they are a semi transparent hard plastic that glues to the gauges

This one is clearly a vinyl overlay. Check out whitegauges.net, theirs are vinyl.

Having given up on finding a full white overlay, I was reading the installation instructions for the whitegauges.net product. The photos show a full overlay even though the online store photos show gauge only overlays. I emailed them and asked what it really looked like. They said the instructions were wrong and the product is actually the gauge only overlay. I expressed dismay and said I preferred the total overlay and that folks on ford-truck.com forum also thought it looked better. The next morning there was an email saying that they were mistaken and that they could ship me the full overlay if I wanted it. So hopefully next week I'll have a new tach version full overlay in my hands. Then I need to wait for the replacement cluster I've ordered from fordka to arrive so I can put it all together. I'll keep folks posted, and of course photos of the end results.
