Changing New Fuel Pump

So my friend is going to be changing his fuel pump this weekend and we would like to know if there is anything special we should know before we just dive into this. Like a special tool or do I need to worry about gas pouring out with the pressure?

the truck is a 1987 f150 inline 6.

ohhhhhh Gotcha. well if its out, chances are there isnt much gas in there anyways. You might get a slight burst, but i doubt itl be anything

Just remember to wear goggles or at least look away when you first break the line loose! SHould be a pretty straightforward swap.
