Luckily the rain didn't hit us last night. It looked like we were going to be hit big time, but it must have petered out before it got here. Morning gang!!!
Wow!!! 3 pages in the Ky thread!! I don't know if I have ever seen that before!!!! Trying to catch up on here with my 4 year old girl asking a bunch of questions. It's all good!!!
I went to Appalachia the time I went over from Cumberland. Hwy 160 maybe? And I agree that the crossing at Breedings is the worst. I have been through the tunnel at Middlesboro several times. Do you know Gary Elly from down that way? Or perhaps his brother Shelby? I've worked on their trucks several times. Actually, Gary parks his truck in Middlesboro, he lives in Va.
I don't know those guys. Years ago, the teenagers in Cumberland were stealing the 55 mph speed limit signs on 119 and putting them back up on black mountain. My dad has employees who drive from Corbin to pineville and all the way up to Cumberland to work every day.
UGH....WHAT-THE-F(*&^ is the deal with ppl letting their dogs run wild? Hit one on the way home just now...Random as hell incident...Tore my air deflector off....For the second friggin time...I mean SHEESH....Why is it, that everytime I have ever torn anything up, ois when I have been going along, minding my own stinking business? It's not like I was out in the woods or something....JEEZ I GIVE UP....
And, as if that wasn't good enough, when I turned, and located the dog, some lady says "Did you hit my dog"?
My response? YES I HIT YOUR STUPID #(*#(#*^(#*^@#*(^#($^#)#)($&#$_ DOG.....UGH....Now, for some odd reason, she never said anything else....
Hey Wes, The proper response would have been, "No, your dog hit me." Can I see a copy of his insurance! Sorry about your luck. I know about the dog stuff. We have a guy at the end of the road that lets his dogs run. Lately, one of them has developed a desire to chase my truck. Yesterday, coming home from church, I'm only going about 20mph or so, and he came running up to the truck, passenger side. As he got near the tailpipe, I hit the throttle hard and rolled him. Don't know if he learned a lesson, but it was funny!

That's a good hour and a half drive one way, if not more. You gotta go where the work is. A friend of mine is an ironworker, and he did very little work last year. This year, they have a job in Lexington, and he lives just south of Alexandria. He's making that drive every day, also a good hour and a half each way.
I hate the dogs running loose as well. When ever we put our dog Rocky out he is on a lead. The nieghbors let there run loose. One of these days Rocky is gonna tear one of them up when it gets close enough lol. When we first moved out here the people one the one side had a dog that would come right into the yard after us. I finally got fed up and had a "talk" with the owner. I told him I carry a gun and the next time it came after us I was gonna put a .40 slug in it's head. He got a little irate and threatened me! I then told him that when I was done with his dog I was gonna take 30 seconds and break several of his bones for him and maybe tear a couple of tendons for good measure. A week later the dog was gone. Now that loser is in jail for meth sales.
