Hey fellas, my 97' psd has been having the check engine light coming on for a while, and until recently, once the engine was at operating temp, I could clear the code with my edge evolution and all would be good. But now, even after operating temp is reached, I have to clear it several times before it stays off! The code is;
p1211- inject. Control pressure above/below desired
Anybody know what this is or know what to do to fix?
check the ICP sensor its screwed into the left head towards the front. has 3 wires. check it for oil seepage. theyre not cheap but if its leaking its probably bad.
Brad, I get that code all the time. I replaced the ICP and IPR and still get it. The best I can figure its spikes in oil presure from my HPOP adrenaline. I see you live near TJ, when he solves your problem let me know so I can fix mine, LOL!! I'm just learning to live with it.
It's just recently stalling, and or losing all power when the check engine light comes on! It's getting irritating and I don't want it to leave me dead on the side of the road.
How does it start hot?
Does it pop the code if you are just putting around or in the throttle hard
a scangauge could help pinpoint the problem
It sounds like your leaking HP oil and you have maxxed out the IPR duty cycle. Thats if your not running huge injectors and a hot tune on the stock HPOP
It's not modded, pretty much stock. Seems to start fine warm, it's mainly after it's had a chance to cool down or when it's been shut off for several hours.
