Project!!!

Hey guys here is the project. I have two trucks. 1991 7.3 4x4 crew cab long bed. second 1992 460 4x4 crew cab long bed.
The 1991 has a rebuilt tranny and transfer case. the engine runs pretty strong. no idea how many miles are on it as i bought it as a parts truck. I am not sure what tranny is under it either. (Hoping E40D)

1992 engine has only 105k on it and other than the tranny it runs fine. It has a E4oD which is not working in D when i come to a stop. If i drop the shifter down to second I can go then manually shift back into D and drive at hwy speeds.
So the questions are what trannies came in the 1991 7.3 non turbos. and if it is by any chance an E4oD will it bolt up to the 460?

Thanks in advance
Travis

I don't know what Trannys came out but the bolt pattern is different on the diesel. I don' t think it will bolt up.

x4 on the tranny not being able to swap. I would stick with the 7.3, not the 7.5l(460). The 7.3 non turbo can get up to 20mpg, the 460...MAYBE 12-14. But I wouldnt listen TOO much to what I say, I hate E4ODs and automatic transmissions in general.

Throw a turbo on the 7.3 and you will have more then the 460.

Thanks guys. I am in Broken Arrow ok. I have them posted on Craigslist actually right now. I would like to keep them. What about doing a engine and tranny swap from the 1991 7.3 to the 1992 body. I dont have anyway of getting a title to the 1991 other wise i would just scrap the 1992. any suggestions? I am not trying to sell anything on here I just was letting yall know where you can see the pics of them.

With all the missing parts and extra charges the price goes way up, like 2K - trust me I've done it.

Ya, thats with shipping and exhaust though. I ended up at around $1800 with shipping exhaust, turbo kit, everything start to finish. I was lucky enough to get practically everything that the original kit included cause the guy who removed it was a great guy who knew what he was doing.

Does the banks kit for 3k come with exhaust? I think I might do this with my bonus money next March. It's hard to determine from the little research I have done what all comes with the kit and what else I will need to buy. Who makes the easiest to install kit?
