Will these gauges work on our trucks?

Summit Racing SUM-G2980 - Summit Racing® Digital Gauges - Show All - SummitRacing.com

Anyone have experience with these? They seemed the least offensive to the mostly-stock look that I will keep in the cab. I could mount them under dash visibly but not too obnoxiously. I would like my stock gauges to keep functioning, but not rely on them to tell me the truth.

Thanks for your replies and opinions

There is no reason they wouldn't. A gauge is a gauge is a gauge. As long as you have the matching sending unit (that they come with) you can use any one you want.

Hey, thanks! Those look perfectly adequate and a heck of a lot more affordable than the ones I posted.

Question: Does the kit include everything you need, i.e., mounting hardware, sending units, wires, instructions for installation?

Yes, all the fittings are included to hook them up. But you have to put them in place of the factory sending units, so the factory gauges will no longer work unless you use a tee on the oil pressure sending unit and find another place to get water temp from. You can get a thermostat housing that has a tap for a water temp gauge so that your factory gauges work and the aftermarket ones too. I just did mine in place of the factory gauges, so the only factory one that still works is the voltmeter.

Yeah, I'd have to say that jsutton's gauges look a bit better.

Digital gauges in our trucks would look a bit funny. The Analog look where you literally have to read yourself is better suited for our applications.

Aaron, point taken. I'm sitting on the fence. The red-number digital does look a bit like the old 40 channel CB radio, though .

If the analog gauges were a closer match with the original equipment, it would be a slam dunk. The fact that they are round and don't match the dash anyway opens up the possibility for radical departure.

In either case, the gauges are small and non-obnoxious in the cab, and will (I'm assuming) screw right into the bottom of the dash where a previous owner has already "soiled" the virgin metal

THANKS for the input! I'll keep you posted
