Dielectric Grease Removal
Hi all - can anyone recommend a solution to clean away old, dirty, gummed up dielectric grease from underhood connectors? Soap and water? Contact cleaner from Radio Shack? Just curious if anyone has used something that has worked really well for them. Thanks!

Just a short follow-up, in case anyone looks this up. I carefully removed each crimp terminal from the plastic housing, then cleaned each terminal in a bath of rubbing alcohol, and srubbed them down with a small homemade wire brush, being careful not to knick the insulation. After drying the crimp terminals, I re-inserted them back into the plastic housing - good as new.
Note that you can't remove the individual conductors from molded connectors.
