as much as i dreaded drilling the holes in my roof i got it done and turned out pretty good, got them off a truck about 3 months ago and just now decided to tackle it. measured them out and got them spaced and even looks alot better, looked too plain with out them.
Looks good! I did that with my previous truck. Getting the courage to drill the holes what the hardest part. Once the first hole was drilled it was easy cause there was no turning back!
I recently replaced the bulbs in mine with LEDs. I had one burn out and figured what the heck. the cool thing is when Im goin down the highway they really light up the reflective road signs.
thanks,
yeah i need to do that next after i get the new antenna, tired of the piece of junk magnetic antenna had it fly off the roof going about 85 the other day, scared the living hell out of me. its been dropped and knocked off and dragged so many times going down the back roads after a heavy rain and the limbs are hanging down over the road just the right height to catch it that it barley works anymore
its not that bad i just set them up there, got the center one dead center and an inch back from the edge of the curve and bolted it down, then spaced the others and screwed them down took them back off and from there i know where to drill the hole for the wires. i think i spaced them 12.5" apart or so. cant remember exactly
