Dont know if its been discussed here. I dont normally pay attention to the 'other' brands, but I saw the new chevy/gm front end.....all I could do is laugh . Do truck owners actually like that angular thing they have going on? You couldnt pay me enough to drive one! And I wonder why Ford has been number one for so many years. Anybody got an opinoin on it?
I would have tosay that I liked the older trucks better. they looked nicer and not so much plastic parts tobreak. I never did like where they had their radios placed in the cab. kinda hard to reach on the 95 trucks I have seen. the newer ones are a lil better on the inside.
the sad thing is this style is even used on the new cadilac cars! I wish GM would really get some REAL designers. I wouldn't buy a new GM if they paid me 1 million bucks.
The problem is it's a design that had potential. The aztec is actually quite attractive in my opinion with the cladding painted the body color (only on the front end though, the rear still leaves something to be desired)
The new trucks would look alright if the rest of the body lines flowed with the front, the replacement for the S10 actually looks similar, but they leveled off the hood over the grille (didn't make it rise up to give it this look) and made the rest of the truck angular too. I do like the old HD's though, they were attractive, don't know why they dropped the look. They were catching Ford in sales. Oh well, more business for Ford
Some of the new trucks, when lifted, look alright.
I can't wait until the end of this year when sales figures come out. I guarantee that GM will sell fewer trucks this year than they did last year. Maybe after a while they'll take the hint and get rid of those nasty looking front ends and tail lights.
