I am in the same boat as you, have broken leafs on my 78 f-150, LMC wants way to much money for their leaf springs IMO. I called a local spring shop near me and they said $460-480 to replace broken leafs and install a add a leaf or for $100 more replace both leaf packs with new ones. So for $560-580 they will put new leafs on the truck. I used them before to replace the leafs on my 77 f-250 for around the same price a few years back and they did a great job and the springs are holding up great on that truck.
I would call around in your area and get some prices. Otherwise the ones from JBG should work good.
I bought the JBG rear leafs for my F150 resto. Even with the shipping I thought the cost was within reason. Will be a while before they are in use but they are installed on the frame and "look" like a well built set of springs, includes the bushings as well.
I'm kind of in the same boat right now. My frame is sitting on block in the middle of a restore. One or two of my leafs are broken and I wouldn't mind a little lift. I'm thinking of going with Rough Country 3-4" lift. I think it comes with all new springs for about $700-900.
got the springs on last weekend. Rides the same, didn't get any lift, fit well, and don't compress as much with my trailer on. Only issue, the straps that hold the spring packs together are taller and may cause an issue by hitting my overloads. Will have to watch next time I'm hauling something heavy.
