Hello, I have a 1974 f250 highboy that the rear end has been converted to a one ton rear end. I was looking all over for bump stops with mounting bracket that will support the extra leaf when a load is applied. Anyone know of any websites or have a rear set.. Or any other options I can do??
Ok.... I need something that bolts to the frame of the truck and will hold springs from flexing??? It has two holes for each bump needed. One horizontal and the other holes are at a 45 to compensate for the curvature of the spring. Maybe they are called overloads?
I think what he is talking about is #16 & 17 in that 2nd link (post #6).
I have these on my crew cab & they will be leaving at some point (hopefully soon!). I think the PO welded the things to the frame though. I'd like to hope not but it seems like that idiot welded EVERYTHING on this truck which is really annoying. I'd hope he didn't weld those bump stops but my bet is he did...
