vibration that starts after hitting a bump or pot hole
My F250 rides great until I hit a pretty good bump in the road or a pot hole and when I do a hear a slight clunk and then I have a slight vibration throughout the whole truck till I come to a stop and then the vibration will be gone till I hit the next good bump. I've checked all the front ball joints and tie rod ends and all and I don't see anything bad up there, haven't got around to the rear stuff yet, any ideas?

I'm with Smokin' on this one. A bad spring or shock would be the first thing to look at. Check to be sure the springs aren't broken (although if they were it would probably sit lopsided) and check for leakage from the shocks, it only takes one bad shock.
Next, check your sway bar on the axle. Be sure its secure and grommets are in place.
When you checked the front end did you pull on the tires? Grab the top of the tire at 12 o'clock and pull back and forth. If your ball joints are bad there will be a little play. There shouldn't be any play. Next grab the tire at 3 and 9 o'clock and try turning it back and forth. Any play could indicate bad tie rods or other loose connections in the steering mechanism, including a bad power steering pump.
Finally, check the balance of your tires and the condition of your rims. Damaged rims/tires can throw everything out of balance.

See if it stops when you turn it into 4 wheel drive. So, once you hit a bump and it starts vibrating, turn it to 4 High. If it stops, service your needle bearings in your wheel hubs (not 4x4 hubs). Check out www.powerstrokeshops.com for your parts and call Bob for further help.
I had this problem and actually had to replace the outter axle shaft as it was very gauled up.
