Ok so looking at Top Gun Customz rear blocks for Ford Super Duty 1999-2010years and they dont have the bump stop feature built in like Icon blocks has. Dose a Super Duty really need bump stops in the rear? I talked to one guy and he said if the truck is lifted that you dont need them in the rear because they will never hit. What do you guys/gals think?
Thanks ~Gage~
I have a 8 inch lift on my 2001 kit did not come with bump stops. And judging by the clean area on my shocks the truck never goes more than about 2 inches down with those springs.
Depends on the (compressed) length of your shocks and how much load you put in it.
You will never hit stops on a stock truck with no load in it.
Put in enough weight and hit a big bump, it will.
If you remove the bump stops, the shocks will most likely be the next travel limiter. My guess is that the upper mount is the weak spot.
