hi i have an 2000 expy and today i was working on my rear window motor, after i was done i put the i the ignition and turned the ignition on but the radio went on and off the whole time and there is a clicking noise that comes from the box where all of the brake lines go out? and i can not start my expy there is a horrible verry fast clicking sound when i try to start it.
i have already tried to disconect the battery but still nothing.
please help
i thing the battery is going bad because the interior lights where only on for about 45minutes.
There is a battery saver relay in these Expeditions. If any of the doors, or the rear hatch/window is left open for 40 minutes the relay turns the lights off to save the battery. Closing everything then opening one up again starts the counter over again.
It's good to know IF you have a good battery. 45 mins can really draw down the battery, especially with the lit sideboards and all interior lights on. mine lasted about 30 mins so i knew it was time to replace that 5 yr old battery.
