running board lights not working?
hello i just bought a 97 expedition and the running board lights are not working checked the fuses and there good. i dont know how to get at the bulbs the check them or to check for power. is there a write up some where on how to take them apart with out breaking anything?

If I remember correctly there is one plastic screw in the cover, take that out and slide the cover off. Then turn the light socket 1/4 turn to the left and pull to release it from the running board. Then pull the light bulb straight out. Installation is reverse.

Just to clarify, these steps are done underneath the running board, the lens on the top does not pop off.

Just to help being I had a situation with mine, I am not sure if its the main fuse(theres another light one in the fuse box inside) but there is one directly for the running board lights in the small strip of fuses along the drivers side fender labeled #4.
