NumberDummy, assistance, please.
1984 F150 Custom and 1986 F150XL: both were manufactured with the sliding rear window which has the chrome appearing plastic trim in the rubber seal. Both now are weathered and somewhat brownish looking. Please provide information as to where replacements can be found as well as the piece which joins the two ends together at the bottom center of the glass. Thank you, sir.

If you are talking about the Chrome Accent that goes in the window, yes, you can still buy that part and the small piece that covers the joint where they meet. You buy them separately or individually.
LMC has them, but they incorrectly show (2) joint covers :

Rear Window moulding: D7TZ-1042430-A
Fits late 1977 to 1996 etc...: F-100/F-350 with fixed window with flexible moulding.
Fits 1982-1996 with factory sliding window.
Also fits Bronco side windows.
The part is obsolete through Ford. Aftermarket would be your best option.
Just reuse the old center moulding clip.

Actually....
Our sponsor Ed Olsen
www.partsguyed.com can get it, he'll charge $43.02 for it, though.
Tison Motor Co in SC has
1 803.625.2551 (kinda near Alabama)
collectorsautosupply.com has
22 800-414-4462
Jst Automotive has
3 615-443-3086
There are a few other places that have one each, one of which is Bob Allen Ford (who I understand is pretty expensive).
I have no idea what the % and black block in the diagram mean, how do we find that 42436 part number?

That's good to know. This part just went obsolete last year so he may have some in stock yet.
As for the part number, it's saying to look into the exterior moulding section.
It's among the body and wheel arch mouldings, etc... etc...

Ah, I see, exterior molding == %-square.
I suppose interior trim == $-circle?
In any case, for that
D7TZ-1042436-A thing, there are two places that have 'em:

Actually it says what the square and % means on the same page.
It shows the square in front of the, "Refer to group in exterior moulding section"
It then shows the % sign in front of, "used on 1990/91 only" which is horse puckey, as it was used 1977-1991 etc...
It shows the numbers 42436 and 42430, with the square and % sign in the front.
