OK, so my dog (puppy) - really likes to chew on the wires that go to my back window. He has managed to eat through the wire for the defroster - and last night took out the one for the back window wiper. Got any idea where I can get new wires to replace them? I can fix the defroster one - there's enough wire left - but the other one - not so much :-(
Dealer or 'pre-used material sales site', AKA boneyard or junkyard or recycle reseller. You may be able to get 'pigtails' at the dealer that have the connector on one end and a length of wire attached. You could then splice the wires, and re-connect.
Most places will not want to take parts from a good hatch, but might be willing to sell parts from one that has been deformed and is otherwise unusable.

One of the clips to the defroster was pulled off the window and then demolished. I think I can get to the other wires, but I've been told that the only way to fix it now is to get a new rear window. True? Any idea where one would find another back window?
I think the connectors to the rear defroster are affixed using an unusual solder paste. I believe it is either a sonic or microwave that sets the paste. I think there are aftermarket products you can use to re-attach the fitting if you had one that was usable.
If you were lucky you could find one at the cast-off pile at an auto-glass installer. The same place you would find a replacement rear window. Two other sources are junkyard and factory.
I would not be averse to trying a connector from a junkyard vehicle that was a different model. If your wire connector or pigtail is mobile, take it with you and try it on junkyard rear windows. Find one that fits, and is cheap, buy the window, disconnect the fitting and use one of the specialty epoxies that are available to repair or re-attach rear window defrosters.
