I just have to hope it runs when I'm done, if not it will just be a shiny new lawn ornament. Or maybe a cool endtable, don't imagine the old lady would let that happen though. She is funny about motor parts in the house!
So far Im happy with the color combo, if I could have started with a boiled block I may have went a differant route. But I had the ford blue and grey on the shelf, so I figured what the heck, it was that or the john deere green and yellow, i have a court of both of them to finnsih the old Jd 110 tractor. =)
Thats my seceret project... Ha! It's actually a 2.8 out of an 86 bronco II. There is a 360 out of a 68 f100 in another corner, you can never have to many spare motors around.
I though about doing the exhuast, but the gaskets seem to be in really good shape, so I didn't want to pull them unless I had too. It would be almost impossiable to shoot them on the motor.
Eastwood and Thermotec do that. VHT has a good spray on ceramic header paint and its not super expensive. I've never heard anything bad about it. I just bought some for my 300 build. It comes in several colors, too.
