20+MPG!

Thought I'd check in real quick. I just went on a road trip and with a lot of self discipline (cruise control) I stayed at 65 MPH on the freeway/Interstate I was able to get 20.2 MPG! AND on the way back I had 2,100 lbs of junk in the back. I have never seen these figures in my truck before. Anyway I am busy and will be back in the swing of things next week. See you all soon!

me too!

I just did a 300 mile trip at 65-70 mph towing my 2000 pound trailer and got 20 mpg!! The truck is a f350 4x4, with the rif-raf airfilter set up, 3 inch down pipe and missing cat. It has the 355 gear set. Love this thing! Wondering if a chip would make things even better??

Wow, I would love to see those numbers out of mine! I have been slowly improving the mileage on mine, but the best I have been able to manage out of it so far is around 14MPG and that is driving mostly 55-60 with a mix of rural and city driving. I need new injectors though I think. I will attribute it to the B20 I have been running. Truck seems to like it (wallet does too since it is around 3.99 right now as opposed to the 4.15 or so that dino is going for right now).

Wish I could do that. Best I got is 17.5 empty. When I'm fueling up to calculate milage I always think I am going to finally break the 19 mark when the nozzle clicks off. Then by the time I run the numbers through the calculator and look back in the tank she seems to be hungry for more fuel. I will then slowly trickle in another 2 gallons or so before its done for good. Then my milage drops back down to 16.5 or 17.

The '96 used to get 21 @ 72mph running down the interstate with 5 people ,luggage and the a/c on. That was before mods. The truck has a Superchips tuner, FPR shim, 140V IDM, 6637 filter, 3" DP and a driver with mid life crisis. I don't know what she would get now. I don't run that far without a trailer anymore. She averages 17.+ back and forth and around. on 3.55's
