Gas MPG

Looking to buy newer F150 2WD auto for light hauling and transportation to work and back. Probalbly would go with the V6. Looking for what I might expect for gas MPG. Sticker rating are 16 - 20. Are these close?

Thanks

Gas MPG

I had a 99 2wd 5spd before I bought the 02. I got arouund 15-16 in town and 16-17(if I was lucky) on the hwy. If I drove 75 (Colorado Speed Limit) I never got over 16, but if I kept it at 65 it was around 17mpg. I expect it might even be a little better with the auto as the newer trannies shift pretty efficiently. I never pulled a trailer, but loaded the back with trees pretty heavy a few times. It worked great for what I used it for. Good Luck, Levi

Gas MPG

I just traded my 4.2 2001 F150, it got an average of 16 in the city and 18 - 20 on highway. Good Engine! But I Love my new 5.4!
