Yep, mine are backwards. Drivers side "in", pass side "out"
So I guess it will work either way.

You can leave em empty. I had them capped off on my F250 for over a year with no problems. When time permits hook em all up. It will only help your trans last longer.
I'm changing the radiator and the heater core hoses are very old. I want to go ahead and change them because the ELC coolant is so expensive. Don't want to have to open the system up again.

That puts an end to my confusion. Did you check out the link in my post 19?
Thank you! Thank you! I'll give it a shot tomorrow or the next day. I was actually contemplating cutting the hoses and just putting a regular hose and clamp on there. Looks easier than I thought. Thanks again.
I'm not doing the tranny lines right at the moment. I just need to get the cooling system up and running. I'll deal with those tranny line some other time.
Hopefully I'm done with the questions. Thanks for the link. A picture is worth 1000 words.

I think so Frank. Guess I need to get off my butt and find out, but its going to have to wait untill tomorrow. When my front seal went out I called and talked to Brian at BTS and he told be to take off the lines going to the radiator and blow thru the drivers side with compressed air to backflush the passages to make sure they were clear. Im sure it would work either way!

Mine are original and still look good. Maybe they just need some cleaning. I'm sticking with my oem heater hoses for another ten year. I guess I should bookmark the link Robin posted but by then my computer will probably crash and loose it.
damm! i feel stupid for not looking at mine before i posted ! guess in my head im still in the early years of rubber hoses and clamps and seen many a heater core broke from trying to get hoses off. i wont just shoot off the hip anymore . sorry jls for leading you the wrong way. and robin reps sent for pics and explanation., wes
