Hey i have a '79 Bronco and want to upgrade to 3/4 or 1 ton axles. Anyone have ideas of where i can find donnor axles from another truck. Making them mount up in is no problem just need to know what type will work.
All you'll need is a F-250 rear axle (Dana 60) from 77 1/2 up
and the from Axle from 76-79 F-250, this of course is for the 3/4 ton swap, which is the most common, that is also for keeping the front as a Dana 44 with the F-250 axleshafts.
Another thing you could look into would be to run a Dana 60 in front and back, but that can get quite pricey and will take much more fabrication than the simple 44 Axleshaft-swap. But its up to you of course.
