78/79 axles
Has any one ever tryed to cut the c wedges off a 78 or 79 broncos axles? I know that they are cast on the axle but I was woundering if anyone has tryed it any way?
Im going to use the axles off of my 79 for my 69 if I have to I will move the upper coil bucket out but I would rather move the c wedges in.

There is no way to grind or cut off the C wedges. There is no tube under the wedge since it is cast into the housing. I have pictures somewhere of a cross section of a 78-79 front end that shows what I'm talking The guys that have done this swap say that the radius arms will stretch out that far and the coils will bolt up with just a slight bow if you are planning on full width.
