my buddys got a 00 its ate a PCM about two weeks ago, so they bought a new one still no start thought it ate another one so the company was nice enough to over night one still no start today..fuel pumps fine, injector pump fine fuels getting to the motor just wont start or even try to..any ideas?? thanks
Have you checked the 30 amp fuse under the dash? If it blows, PCM has no power. Typically, it blows because of the fuel bowl heater shorting out. If it is blown, unplug fuel bowl heater before replacing.

not sure,i just messaged him and asked. where is the fuel bowl heater located?
10-4 thanks for the responses guys, he said his dad thinks hes got it narrowed down to two things, so well see if it starts sooner or later..i asked him about the 30 amp fuse but he said all the fuses are fine, is the 30am in the fuse panel with the rest or no?
If you are at the front of the truck standing on the bumper, looking straight down at the fuel bowl in the middle of the engine compartment (don't forget, you will have to have already removed the "vanity plate" that says 7.3L POWERSTROKE), it will be the electrical wire connecting to the middle/bottom of the bowl at the 1 o'clock position.
Or, if you see the yellow valve at 12 o'clock...just look to the right of that.
FORGOT TO MENTION...the issue could be your CPS (cam position sensor). $20 item, can be replaced yourself in 10 minutes with a socket wrench. They are notorious for going bad.

There are two fuse panels. One is inside the cab under the driver's dash / steering wheel. The other is in the engine compartment on the driver's side, between the air box and the firewall...this is where the 30amp fuses would be. Look in the owner's manual for which fuse number you're looking for.

Ten four. I talked to him earlier, he said his dad checked all the fuses there all good. He's thinking the connector isn't letting power to the PCM because there is power on the other side of the connector.
heres the update on this situation...they have replaces the cam shaft pos sensor three time still nothing, replaced PCM twice still not starting, thought the connector was bad got a new connector still not starting..there completely clueless and are fixing to take it to velde ford to be charged in arm in a leg for repairs...any one have any other ideas of what this problem couild be??? thanks
With all the cranking you have been doing.... How many volts are left while trying to start it? If you don't have at least 10.2v, (Or something like that), the truck will crank fine but it will not start.
