Morning guys...going to be a beautiful day here, have to help the wife straighten up the house, then cut some grass...may even put sine ribs on age new smoker for this evening...
Rob, it is fun shooting CAS if you get in with some people who are there to enjoy the day and friends. All you need is a rifle and a double barrel and another Blackhawk. Then you can shoot modern. But mightwant to go a couple times to watch and see what it is all about before you invest in everything. What caliber are you going to shoot?
Sounds like a good idea Steve... my current Blackhawk is a .357, don't know if that will suffice, or if I have to move up. I'm not too concerned at this point since it will probably be a couple years till I dive in. I know my local gun club hosts a shoot a couple times a year, so I hope to go watch that.
About to work some more on painting the front room before the wife gets home. I can't wait to be done, so I can start another project! It never ends, does it?
Rob, the 357 is enough. You may want to shoot 38's though. They are cheaper and meet the speed requirements. Pistols less than 1000fps and rifles less than 1400 fps.
Jack, 357 revolvers are great. You can shoot 38's or 357's. that is what I started with then traded up to 45's. I reload so I can adjust my loads for mild or wild.
i know i had a 44 mag i traded my father in law for his 357. and it came with a arm pit holster which was nice because i could wear a jacket and you couldn't see it. and i worked for a parking company at the time and carried large amounts of money all the time. it was perfect. i wished i still had it.
