Tranny issues after shift kit.
So it has the E4OD.
I primarily use it for towing.
I'm having reverse issues.
I had soft shifts and it stacked 2 and 3.
I did the Transgo shift kit in the truck so I didn't do the valve in the pump.
Fluid was very clean
Up shifts great now.
I'm having issues with reverse. When in reverse and I step on the gas it is hard to explain it is like a chatter as if it is going in and out of gear a bunch of times really fast. All I can thick of now there isn't enough pressure to hold it in gear.
The more load the worse so when I have the trailer on it really sucks.
I drove it about 500miles yes fluid was full.
I just dropped the pan today checked the plate next to the valve body with the 3 bolts and it is tight. I checked all the valves everything moves freely looks to me like everything is installed correctly. I don't know what to do now.
Fluid starting to get dirty clutch material.
I did some searching and found his valve.
Looks like it is made to help hold reverse better.

I skipped page 1 and 2.
And skipped the last page I didn't have that extra plate in my kit.
It might have been a slightly different kit.
Looks like it is made to help hold reverse better.

Like I said up shift great just reverse feels like it jumps in and out of gear this valve says it removes the modulation out and just on off and adds more pressure to the reverse clutch?
Any other suggestions?

The L/R modulator valve was sticking just the slightest when I opened it the second time so I freed that up just ran a pick along the edge to break the burn moves nice and free now. I checked all the other valves they moved freely. I thought that might have been it so I never took down the big plate to check the gasket or the other check ***** I will this time.
I talked to a transmission rebuilder friend I have a couple things I can look at. Start with a pressure gauge, Then try M-1st it also uses the L/R clutch pack see if it does the same thing, and also remove the plug from the solenoid pack will remove the modulation and should give full line pressure and see if I have reverse.
Could be coincidence that something internal let go at the same time.
I'll report back what I find. I ordered priority mail Sunday night no tracking but I hope it will be here before friday.
I wont have time to look at until friday right before I have to leave. So I'll post next week.
Thank you

I took everything back apart cleaned, made sure everything was free reassembled.
Nothing looked bad but who knows.
Now it shifts great and reverse works perfect again.
Like I said not positive the valve fixed it but it is now fixed.
Thanks for the help.
