acting weird

Got a 96 all stock. Once in awhile when I start my truck and take off ill get to about 2200 rpms in 2nd gear and seems I loose all power I can floor the pedal and get nothing switch to third and nothing but when I take it out of gear and rev it for awhile put it back in take off and its fine. Turbo maybe?

Another question I've noticed when in gear I can have the pedal at quarter throttle then full throttle with no difference in acceleration. That normal? Thanks guys

It may be an issue with the TPS (switch on the go pedal)

Do you have a DVOM ?...

Dvom. What's that? The switch on the go pedal quit working about 4 months ago and couldn't find one so I rigged up a toggle switch. Been working fine I thot maybe not.

Digital volt ohm meter ,, the one you replaced is the IVS , the other (larger one )is the TPS . there is a test for it if you have a meter ...

That switch has to be timed properly too ...
