Which A/C does your truck have? There were 3 types:
1) Factory installed Integral A/C. The A/C is integral with the heater. The A/C controls are located in the same panel as the heater controls.
There is a separate glove box mounted into the A/C's bezel, because the A/C expansion valve mounts where the glove box liner was.

2) Dealer installed deluxe A/C: The A/C controls are separate from the heater controls. The original instrument panel glove box is extant.
This A/C's bezel has four registers and is "stepped" in the center:
(1) Drivers side register / (1) Passenger side register / (I) Left center register-to the left and below the (1) Right center register that is above and to the right of the left center register.

3) Dealer installed economy A/C. The A/C controls are separate from the heater controls. The simple compact bezel includes the blower motor, evaporator core and the expansion valve.
Hey Bill the A/C unit I have is a factory installed unit with built in heater and the controls are in the dash. Im looking for the trim piece that surrounds the 2 vents and runs across the body of the unit, the one I have is woodgrain and broken.I'd like to find a 68/69 piece but in this case im not fussy so a 70 or 71/72 will do.thanks for your time Ron
