Trailer plug connection
Hello everyone, I just bought a 2010 receiver hitch to put on my 2000 F-250. The hitch came with the new style plug that has the 7 and 4 pin hook ups together. I would like to know where I can get the connection that goes to it. It's definitely factory, and even if I have to splice the other end to my truck I need it to hook up to the back of the hitch. Any help would be great. Thanks

You can get the harness from Ford but you might get sticker shock, I'm thinking it's like $150. I need one as well, but I'm going to try the salvage yard route. Another problem you might run into is I think they changed from a round plug to a square one sometime about 2005 or so - meaning you would probably have to splice it in. Can't say if the wires are the same colors or not.
