still not working
Ok, did a complete flush and fill on my 91 F-250 4x4 and still have no reverse and neutral is actually a forward gear! code 92 (shift solonoid 2/ecm circuit failure still set) am meeting a lot of resistance I say the solonoids are bad everyone else says tranny is junk. what is the procedure for testing soloniods? with break out box?

You should keep all these posts in one thread so others who stop by later can read your full report of problems and know the full extent of what you have done and what the symptoms are... Just a friendly reminder... It will also help those of us with bad memories what we've already suggested.
And not to be a PITA but i hate E40D's! I had one go bad on me 10 years ago... went with 5spds ever since and never looked back! better performance for towing, more reliable and in most cases better mpgs!

Sorry kinda new to this. yes it is a 1991 E40D. if you shift from park to rev it does nothing unless you rev it up then it shudders and wants to move forward, shift it to nuetral and it goes forward. one of the guys helping with this project says it seems like it is trying to send fluid two ways at once. Thank you for the diagnostic chart
