CJ-4 Oil

Ok I cant seem to find the true goods on CJ-4 oil. I have done lots of reading and cant seem to find the answers I am looking for. Anyways what Is the best CJ-4 oil on the market. I have 8000kms on my truck so I guess a Syn oil is out of the question because the engine has not been broken in yet. I dont want to buy Ford oil as they charge $6.71 per liter. I seen that Rotella is not rated that high so what is?

I use Rotella. It is rated CJ-4

I use the motorcraft 15-40 in mine. I get it at Wal-mart. Do you have one there?

Yes but they dont sell Motorcraft.

I just bought 4 gallons of Rotella-t 15w-40 at Oreillys for $10.99 per gallon.

There was a couple guys that did tests on 20 different oils there names are Robert Patton and John Martin, and Rotella T ranks very low on there list, 4th from last.
The number one oil is Valvoline Premium Blue, but I cant find that oil here also not sure if it is CJ-4 oil.

I noticed not all Walmarts sell MC oil. Only the bigger ones have them; the Walmart-Express stores have half the stuff the 'Super-Walmarts' have...so try another store!
