Question Valley pan

So when i changed my ip i noticed oil leaking from the front of my valley pan and from what i can see in pictures there is supposed to be a strip of steel on the front. I'm missing mine. Anybody have one they are willing to part with?

A leaky IP can be a result of alot of different things. What makes you think you are missing something? Hard lines could be leaking, return line at IP, return brass tee.

If you are sure you are missing a peice, I still got my old one so lemme know if oreo don't got it.

The piece i am talking about is that little strip of steel held on by 4 1/4in bolts that clamps the tin on the valley pan to the front of the block. I know its leaking because i can see the vapor escape from it. And snapon I'll take you up on the offer. just pm with all the details

ive got like 2 or 3 layin around. pm me your address and ill get it sent out asap. to warn you now, i lag on shipping. dont get to the post office much. for that, ill just stick it in a envelope, put it on a scale and throw a couple regular stamps on so it can get sent out sooner.

since you gotta pull the intake off to get to the last bolt for that plate, why not just remove the valley pan, throw copper gasket spray on all the contact points. that will help seal everything up real nice. 4-6 coats will do ya.

The lag in shipping is ok i made some smalll tabs that seal it for now. I'm thinking I should be able to sneak it under the last bolt if i trim it half way through the left bolt hole being its the only one i can't get at. To pull my intake i have to pull the turbo and that isn't something I'm looking forward to. I'd have a real long day in it just to pull that bolt out. Think that idea would work?
